Our new retail store is constantly expanding its services and product lines as we adapt to meet our customers’ changing needs. Beacock Music is a family-owned company since 1976! The founders, Dale and Susan Beacock, opened the doors as a place for music lessons with a focus primarily toward band students. Musicians themselves, they enjoyed being surrounded by ‘anything music!’. . As time went on the lesson studios gradually expanded to carry accessories and, later, instruments for rent or sale. They grew their business over the years through hard work, careful buying, and personal customer relationships. Dale always said: “Do the right thing for the customer.” Sue’s mantra has always been: “retail is detail.” They made a very good team!. . Their children, Gayle and Russ, eventually joined them and together they grew their business and expanded the product mix. In 2004, a new 20,000 square foot building was constructed for their new music store! Today, Beacock Music is one of the largest independent music stores in the country; boasting an award-winning Education Center, complete repair facilities, an outstanding School Services Division, a vibrant retail floor, our Standing Ovation cafe, large rental and print music departments.
