Detailed description is We are a family owned business since 1972! We specialize in Pre-owned sales and service of European automobiles. Bernhard’s Sales and Service is a state of the art facility offering Autologic technology and the latest Hunter Alignment system. We service all makes and models, but specialize in fine European automobiles.. George Bernhard, owner, was born in Germany and trained by Volkswagen. At the young age of 18 he came to the United States as a VW apprentice with a vision: to open his own garage that offered dependable, honest service that would lead to long lasting relationships. . In 1972, George’s vision became a reality. He opened a small garage on Emmaus Avenue in Allentown, devoting his time to German-made vehicles. Shortly after, George started offering used VW’s and Audi’s for sale which forced him to a bigger location.. In the early 2000’s, George’s son, Bryant, becomes General Manager of the dealership and continues the family tradition of trustworthy sales and service. During this time, not only was the dealership growing, but so was the Lehigh Valley which lead to the Route 222 bypass project and the need for Bernhard’s to move a second time.. Today Bernhard’s couldn’t be happier with their new location on Crackersport Road in Allentown. Not only did the existing customers follow, but the new facility attracted new ones as well. Everything from the lifts in our eight-bay garage to the full service parts department has been revamped and all of the technicians are factory trained in both on and off site facilities constantly to keep up with factory specifications. .
