Betas have been Mr. UTA. Winner of UTA's Homecoming Spirit Week 2007-2011. Winner of Greek Week 2006-2008, 2013-2014, 2014-2015. Awarded Gold Star Status, an overall indicator of success that encompasses all factors, by UTA Greek Life Office for the 2005-2009 . *The only IFC Fraternity to be awarded Gold Star Status in 2006 & 2007*. We encourage our members to be in at least two other organizations. . Leadership Opportunities:. . Beta Theta Pi offers more leadership opportunities than any other Fraternity. Alumni have raised over $21 million for leadership scholarships to send brothers to the opportunities for little or no cost. The UT Arlington Chapter has 16 brothers registered for summer leadership opportunities. . . Intramurals:. . 7 on 7 Football. 3 on 3 Basketball. Softball. 4 on 4 Football (1st place from all IFC in 2014). 5 on 5 Basketball . Dodgeball (1st place from all IFC in 2011). . . Commitment to Community:. . Heroes for Hope: UT Arlington's own philanthropy where members of the fraternity dress up in super hero costumes and deliver action figures,comic books, and joy to terminally ill children.. Texas and Louisiana Tour: Chapter members spend their spring break traveling across Texas and Louisiana visiting the children's hospitals dressed as super heroes. Raised over $3000 for Easter Seals "Walk With Me" Event. BETA 500 event where teams of sororities and other organizations participates in. Teams and the chapter donates toys along with comic books to be handed out at the hospital during the Heroes for Hope visit.. 1st place with the most philanthropy hours of ANY Greek organization for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010.
