Detailed description is The Town of Blue River is a Statutory Town in Summit County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 849 at the 2010 United States Census.GeographyBlue River is located at .According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.3sqmi, of which, 2.2sqmi of it is land and 0.1sqmi of it is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 685 people, 268 households, and 151 families residing in the town. The population density was 314.0 people per square mile (121.3/kmยฒ). There were 563 housing units at an average density of 258.0 per square mile (99.7/kmยฒ). The racial makeup of the town was 98.39% White, 0.15% Asian, 0.44% from other races, and 1.02% from two or more races.
