Detailed description is Bostono lituanistinė šeštadieninė mokykla. www.blsm.org Mūsų mokykla, kurią šiuo metu lanko apie 130 mokinių, buvo įsteigta 1950-aisiais metais. Mokiniai atstovauja įvairias lietuvių išeivijos kartas, todėl ir jų kalbos mokėjimo lygis yra nevienodas. Sudarydami klases, stengiamės atkreipti į tai dėmesį. Be lietuvių kalbos, istorijos bei geografijos nuo lopšelio iki 10-os klasės mokomės tautinių dainų ir šokių. Kiekvieną rudenį vyksta "Skaitymo maratonas." Tris savaites vaikai namuose kasdien skaito lietuviškai, o maratono nugalėtojai būna pagerbiami prizais. Spalio pabaigoje vyksta Kaukių paradas, o prieš Šv. Kalėdas Bostono lietuvių bendruomenės nariai noriai klausosi kalėdinių giesmių ir stebi mūsų kalėdinų vaidinimą. Vasario 16-ą pažymime dalyvaudami iškilmingame minėjime, o žiemą palydime užgavėniškų blynų baliumi. Šv.Velykų proga lietuvių papročiu ridename margučius, Šeimos dienos proga paruošiame smagią programą. Mokslo metai pabaigiami abiturientų išleistuvėmis ir žaidimų diena.
