Detailed description is Play...Pray...Learn....& Grow You may be aware that New Horizon’s will be discontinuing its preschool program at the end of this school year. Their program has been a great benefit to the community’s children and families throughout the years.. When we became aware of the decision to discontinue the program, discussions began about continuing to offer a quality preschool environment for our children. Plans are moving forward for the opening of Bright Beginnings Learning Center in the fall of 2014.. Bright Beginnings will be a ministry of the Middleport Church of Christ. There is a separate Preschool Board that will help provide oversight of the school’s staff and direction. This Board is made up of both church members and others from the community, including parents of students. . The Board has been working on securing a new Administrator so that all State licensing will be completed in a timely manner. Her name is Valerie Plants, she will be spending time shadowing Ms. Cindy during the month of April and getting to know our current students and families. . The folks at New Horizons have been very helpful in this process. We can’t thank them enough! Our desire is to, as much as possible, continue the great program they have developed over the years. We have met with the current staff and anticipate many of them returning and working with Bright Beginnings..
