BVS was the first public virtual school to offer students the ability to earn a high school diploma completely online. BVS expanded to middle grades (6-8) in 2005 and elementary grades in 2009. Broward Virtual School offers students in grades K-12 the ability to learn at their own pace from anywhere. Students can earn a standard high school diploma entirely online. As a component of Broward County Public Schools, BVS does not charge tuition or fees. BVS is a local virtual education program affiliated with Florida Virtual School and K12 Florida.
