Outside of the fact that kids will be kids....we were told that had she had her seat belt on she would have survived the accident and we strongly believe that just due the fact that she was partially ejected from the vehicle. Our lives changed forever that evening. It is something that I wish would never happen to another parent. I know it has happened & I feel for those who have had to experience the same things that we have experienced. We are very blessed that the whole community was there for us. We were approached by the girls volleyball coach and asked if we would be interested in taking over the existing volleyball tournament in Memory of Lane. We accepted the offer & now it has been going on for 16 years. We take great pride in the tournament and to be able to keep Lane's memory alive is still part of our grieving process. This tournament would not happen if not for all the support from our family, schools & community. We love you all and appreciate all that you do for us & our family. Thank you!
