Mae is the combination of the 1st letter of our names !! M is for Marlys "mom", A is for Angela "big sister" & E is for Emily "little sister".

About Marlys: I am the "Mom" to three wonderful children and Grandma to five awesome grandchildren.
I have been married to Dennis for 45 yrs.
I always thought my strong suite was writing poems and stories.
Then Emily asked if I would do a little sewing for Sweetsby: Ej and so the journey began.
I've always enjoyed painting and have refinished some furniture over the years, so the projects the girls wanted to do has really tested my skills.
We'll try to bring you some fresh ideas, furniture rehabs and who knows what the future holds for a mom and her 2 daughters ....

About Angela: Angela is the "behind the brush" sister.
Angela is married and has 2 teen boys that keep her busy.
Angela's love for painting and furniture redo's did not flourish until recently when she was faced with making her new house the way she wanted it to look.
Angela is good at keeping the creative ideas in check, painting & great at the books :-}.

About Emily: I'm the Little Sister, Auntie Em & the ScrewBall of the family.
I'm married to my husband Mike and we have an 10 year old daughter Morgan.
We have 2 Crazy Cats - Gus Gus & Freddy that round out the family.
3 years ago I started a business called Sweetsby:Ej.
I make pretend play food out of felt , aprons for little girls to wear, and fun little tea time placemats & napkins.

I've always done furniture redo's and home accents {pillows, placemats, runners, hand towels etc.) but always put it under my Sweetsby:Ej business.
I've always wanted to have a name for this part of my creations but it wasn't until my sister was painting some furniture that she was "struck" with the idea of "by Mae"! She called me ASAP to tell me and "by Mae" was born.
Its funny how the name was in front of us all this time but it wasn't until then she could see it !!! Truely a divine moment :-} .
I have been able to sell the furniture that I have been doing and the home accents that I have been sewing.
I am super excited to share with you this part of my god given talents and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes me !! No words can express how excited I am that I get to do this with my mom & sister <3 <3 <3.

In the future "by Mae" will be selling home accents on this page and soon we will be selling a "Stained Glaze" for furniture too.
The stained glaze will be in grey, smoky grey, tea stain, and onyx black..
