I have been a resident of Cape Cod, MA since 1986 and have dedicated much of my life's purpose to the healing practices of domestic animals and wildlife rehabilitation. When I'm not working at my family's local business, practicing yoga, or traveling the globe, I can be found on the beach or in the woods hiking with my best friend Alfombra the Magic Carpet Dog (a.k.a. Ali.) and our four-legged dog clients.. . . . PRICING:. . . Dog Walking: $25/hour.. . *In-home Dog Sitting: $60/day. (3+ dogs: $75/day). . *In-home Cat Sitting: $25/day. . *$20/daily house checks. . $40/30 minute: therapy dog session.. . . *Weekly and monthly rates are discounted for jobs lasting longer than 6 nights. . . . . . . As an extremely conscientious dog and cat owner, I am truly dedicated to providing a reassuring and nourishing environment for your pet's mental and physical well being during your absence. During my pet-sitting employment my dog Ali and I will come stay at your house, adhere to your pet's specific daily routine and only leave your dog's or cat's side for very short periods of time. I believe when your pets have adequate exercise, a person fulfilling a calm assertive leadership role as well as rewarding your pets with balanced affection. They will never skip a joyful beat during your absence. For safety reasons I do not allow dogs off leash until I have your permission to do so or before the leader/follower role is fully established. And finally, I only walk my dog clients in lesser known conservation areas, beaches and state parks where there is minimal foot traffic. . . . THERAPY DOG OUTREACH . Ali is an active working therapy dog most recently re-certified in 2015 by Companion Animal Program of Cape Cod. As a therapy dog team, we love meeting new people and animals from all walks of life. We make house calls, go to local nursing homes, schools and hospitals. We also travel to places outside the United States as honorary ambassadors for various animal welfare causes. Ali is extraordinarily patient and loving with all sentient beings and has a keen way of lifting spirits in a very soothing manner. I have trained 3 outstanding therapy dogs over my lifetime and she is by far the most gentle and relaxed dog with whom I have had the pleasure of working. She prefers to cuddle up on a warm lap but is always up for playing fetch and nibbling your arm ever so softly if you encourage her to groom you. She is hypoallergenic which means she does not shed fur and can be tolerated by most people with dog allergies. Because Ali is a certified service dog she is allowed in all public settings.. . . . . .
