Detailed description is Cape Fear Isshin-Ryu was formed in 2001 and through the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we have continued to grow. We offer Kids and Adult classes, After-school karate, and Summer Camps.. . What do we teach? Isshinryu Karate is an Okinawan system of self-defense created by Grand Master Tatsuo Shimabuku. Our style focuses on a balance of hand and foot techniques with a heavy emphasis on self defense.Our goal is to give individual attention to every child's needs and we work hard to see that your child progresses in their martial arts training. Students will earn rank based on their dedication and ability to perform what they have learned. When a student earns a new rank, there is a very real sense of accomplishment and pride in what they have done. As with almost all martial arts schools, we emphasize self-control and an increase on social skills. We achieve this through karate training as well as the interaction of organized games. . .
