Detailed description is A sustainable, educational programme designed to teach climate change and provide support for local primary and secondary schools. The Carbon Busters project, developed as part of the Crichton Carbon Centre’s schools programme, is a transitional, sustainable education plan, working with pupils in P5-7 and S1-2 around Dumfries and Galloway. The project aims to provide support for schools and pupils with a knowledge base of climate change science and its impact on the Earth’s resources, through delivering a series of classroom teaching and practical workshops. Through Carbon Busters, pupils are able to learn about carbon footprinting and resource efficiency, as well as getting a chance to cover topics such as waste, energy, transport, food and water.
