Detailed description is Building community to support those isolated and alone. CareTeams bring together individuals to form teams that offer practical and emotional support. In 1988 Gwen Beighle, a Presbyterian minister who witnessed men dying alone, had a vision to provide those dying from AIDS a safe place to spend their last days surrounded by compassionate community and enter death with dignity. . We carry out her vision of touching the isolated and alone through CareTeams.. In February 2014, the CareTeam Program of Rosehedge Multifaith Works was acquired bu Samaritan Center of Puget Sound after Rosehedge Multifaith Works closed.. Samaritan Center of Puget Sound was founded in 1960 and now has 18 locations in King, Kitsap and Pierce counties. These locations are served by 32 state-licensed therapists who provide individuals, couples, family, children and youth counseling.
