Detailed description is We are a 501(c)3 organization that fosters the education & advancement of amateur radio in Chenango County, NY.
The Chenango Valley Amateur Radio Association was formed in 1965 and continues to serve the community today.
We are a 501(c)3 organization that fosters the education and advancement of amateur radio in Chenango County, NY.
We are an Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) affiliated club.
The Club is located in Chenango County and we regularly meet in Norwich, NY at the City of Norwich Emergency Operations Center.
The club serves Chenango County and the City of Norwich under The Amateur Radio Emergency Services and The Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service.
We are active in SKYWARN with the National Weather Service, spotting severe weather in which the NWS can issue warnings with.
As with any organization, our 43 members have a wide range of interests and all members work to help foster these interests amongst the other members and the public.
We also offer test sessions to anyone who is looking to obtain an Amateur Radio License or upgrade a current one.
This year we offered a Technician Licensing class and in the future we hope to offer another Technician class and a General Class License.

The Club operates and maintains the W2RME repeater located in Guilford, New York on a frequency of 146.685- with a PL of 110.9.
We use the repeater to support Emergency Communications when needed by Chenango County, The City of Norwich, and Chenango Memorial Hospital.
