Requirements for joining - Must be enrolled in Rutgers taking 12 or more credits, must have a 2.5 GPA or higher, and must devote 5 hours of community service per semester.. . 3. GPA requirements - Minimum GPA of 2.5. . 4. New member fees – $400.00 . . 5. Membership expectations - All active brothers will be required to pay dues by required dates, unless separate financial plan is created prior to the semester with the Delta. . a. If this does not happen the brother will be barred from all social events until dues are collected . Active brothers are expected to attend 80% of Chi Phi chapters and events, unless they have a valid excuse approved by the Gamma 3 days ahead of time. . b. If attendance falls under 80% brothers will not be allowed to social events until their attendance rise back above the required margin. . Every active brother will be required maintain a minimum of a 2.0 gpa on a 4.0 scale. If this is not held a brother will be placed on probation from social events for a semester until their GPA meets the Rutgers requirements. This probationary status will be upheld as long as necessary. . Every brother must comply with the rules stated in our chapter's bylaws as well as Chi Phi national bylaws, and Rutgers Greek regulations. . Both brothers and new members well be held to the same high standard . 6. The Delta Colony of Chi Phi has a strict no hazing policy including . a. No forcing the consumption of alcohol or other illicit substances . b. New members will not be forced into any form of physical exertion, or working out . c. Will not have to set up or attend events that brothers are not expected to . d. New members are not required to run errands, drive brothers, or do any other tasks that involve servitude in any manner . e. New member activities will not take up more than 10 hours a week . 7. No Chi Phi sponsored event will distribute alcohol or any other illicit substances. No alcohol will be purchased with fraternity dues. If a brother or guest is of age they may drink with alcohol they provide themselves. .
