Detailed description is Command Health’s content analytics business had its origin more than 3 decades ago (1980s) in the Worker’s Compensation market. We got our start analyzing the content of providers’ narrative for large employers, state agencies, third party administrators (TPAs), utilization review (UR) agencies, and insurance and risk assessment carriers such as CNA and Liberty Mutual. We worked to provide meaningful data beyond the checkbox forms required by worker’s compensation while helping physicians validate and enter data into multiple systems.. . In the 1990’s we owned and operated the largest worker’s compensation facility in the nation, which is now part of Humana, and became one of the first worker’s compensation specific Managed Care Organizations (MCO). We learned to analyze and act on the content of unstructured narrative notes so case managers and others could take proactive steps to control both indemnity and medical costs through active communication with providers and patients during the course of treatment. The results proved an ability to positively impact costs and outcomes by sharing information across disparate systems and care environments. In some markets we operated under capitated (per covered patient) payment plans, which turned out to be an excellent “training ground” for today’s emerging ACO environments dependent on controlling costs and managing care across a large provider network with both employed, affiliated and non-affiliated providers.. . While no longer involved in direct patient care, we did become the largest provider of narrative documentation to the ambulatory market in the United States, all while maintaining a 100% domestic workforce. We provide HIE (Health Information Exchange) and EMPI (Enterprise Master Patient Index) type services that allow clinics and hospitals across diverse provider communities to share data and automate the synchronization of that data into disparate EMR/EHR systems. In addition to both large and small healthcare organizations and their partners, we continue to work with large employers to drive better and more efficient care across large and disparate care networks.. . We currently engage with a diverse group of providers and strategic partners across the healthcare environment. We work closely with nationally recognized healthcare provider organizations, including the Mayo Care Network, as well as leading EMR vendors, healthcare-focused accounting firms, secondary data use firms and other strategic partners.. . It is our ability to connect with Providers during their documentation process in a positive, effective, and sustainable way that truly distinguishes our solutions. It is this ability that drives our willingness and ability to offer our solutions based on shared accountability and results delivered rather than promises and projections..
