When I got pregnant with my first child, I began researching balancing calories while breastfeeding and losing baby weight. I decided that I wanted to pursue a second career path in nutrition. At the time my family and I were living in North Carolina (where my husband and I grew up). I started down the path of getting back into school and starting over with a new baby and new career path. Shortly after starting my nutrition journey my husband accepted a job in Kansas City. We moved here in October 2013. We loved Liberty and it's small town vibe. I immediately started back on my nutrition track at the University of Central Missouri. Admittedly being a college student in my mid/late 30s was difficult; in addition to having another child and experiencing 3 orthopedic surgeries in the last 2 years. But I finished my degree (I get my actual diploma this summer)! So, I have a Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics. . .
