Detailed description is Concrete Farm to School seeks to strengthen connections between local food and the cafeterias, classrooms, and community of East Skagit County. In 2013, Concrete School District partnered with United General District 304’s Community Health Outreach department to launch a Farm to School program as a strategy to improve nutrition and access to healthy foods in Eastern Skagit County. Concrete Farm to School seeks to address challenges facing the small, rural town of Concrete by educating children and the community about healthy eating, local food, and gardening.
