Detailed description is Cozy Edgartown cottage near Long Point Beach includes salt-water, solar heated pool, A/C, 2 queen bedrooms each with private bath, and outdoor living area. Located on the outskirts of Edgartown near the West Tisbury line is our lovely two bedroom, two bath home sitting in a three acre meadow. This home is part of a compound, with a 3 bedroom main house and an owners' studio, that includes a salt chlorinated, solar heated, 16 X 32 foot swimming pool shared by both houses. The house is entirely separate and private with its own bluestone patio for outdoor grilling and dining as well as a large deck with an outdoor shower and hot tub. . . The house features a large central living area with a well stocked kitchen, dining area for 6, and a large living room centered around a gas fire stove. On either end of the living area are two bedrooms featuring queen beds and window seats overlooking the meadow. Off the living room is a wonderful sun porch with dining for eight and a queen sleeper sofa. . . The house is tastefully and comfortably furnished and is amply supplied with linens, towels, and beach towels. Most days there is a breeze that blows off the ocean through the meadow, but just in case the humidity and heat of a Vineyard summer overrides the meadow breeze, the bedrooms and living area are air conditioned. Other amenities include a dishwasher, washer/dryer, cable TV, and Internet.. . Just a short drive away is Long Point Reservation, our favorite beach on the island. In the other direction is a 12 minute drive to South Beach in Katama. The house is truly centrally located being 5 miles from each of the three major towns of Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, and Edgartown. At the entrance to the road leading to the property is access to the bike path that leads you to all areas of the island.. . There are bike racks to handle six bikes. You can bike to Morning Glory Farm for local farm produce and fresh baked goods. It's only a ten minute drive to the Farmer's Market in West Tisbury. Available for your use if you have a vehicle that can transport them are kayaks for use in the Vineyard ponds. . . A perfect island getaway to relax, enjoy a leisurely swim, or sit in the hot tub under the Vineyard sky after a busy day enjoying all the island has to offer. Depending upon availability, there is an option to book both this house and the main house together for multiple family visits.
