What make this unique is that the recreation is entirely made of Rubik style cubes - 4,050 of them to be exact. The finished piece measures 17' wide by 8.5' in height and weighs in at 1,000 lbs. It is a collaboration of graphic artists along with ‘cube-ists’ who's art is a retro yet avant-garde re-contextualizing of the aesthetic possibilities of the 80's toy craze, the Rubik's cube.
