The CVD Fund was designed to provide financial assistance for education, prevention and treatment initiatives regarding cardiovascular disease and related chronic illnesses affecting Cumberland County residents which would not otherwise be funded through the Cumberland Health Authority..

CLARA BACON BURSARY FUND.

In 2014 the Honourable Roger S.
Bacon made a donation to the Cumberland Health Care Foundation in honour of his beloved wife Clara as a memorial to her belief in a lifetime of learning and growth.
The proceeds of this special Endowment Fund are to be used by the Foundation in the form of bursaries to assist staff members at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre who are enrolling in educational or skills-training programs in order to obtain a higher level of achievement in the health care field..

Based on the Clubhouse Model, an international well-established evidence-based program founded over 50 years ago, Cumberland Mental Health Services launched a program called Working Together.
Working Together offers community rehabilitation of persons with severely disabling psychiatric illnesses.
The philosophy is that given adequate time and a restorative environment, those who have been socially and vocationally disabled by mental illness can be helped to achieve or regain the confidence and skills necessary to lead vocationally productive and socially satisfying lives.
