Q: Why did you name your business "Deep Relief Clinic"?.
A: So many people live with chronic pain everyday, and endure this quality of life for many years.
After many years of clinical experience, I have found techniques and protocols that have provided so much relief to my patients, that they are now able to life healthy pain-free lives.
It is profound how life changing a little relief can be.
I've found this work immensely rewarding..

Q: Tell us about your background and why did you chose to continue down the path of Traditional Chinese Medicine?.
A: It all started when I was 16.
I had the most amazing high school work placement a teenager could ever ask for - in an all women fitness facility.
After the placement, I was hired and worked for a few years as a fitness trainer.
I loved helping people attain health, and meanwhile, my life went down the path of exploring organic food and self care.
I drank so much wheatgrass juice when I was 18 years old (laughs)..

Eventually, I thought that combining the fitness training with massage would be quite beneficial.
After completing my massage training and working in the field for a few years, I could see that there was another layer to unfold - I still wasn't helping patients in the deeper ways I knew possible.

Then I studied TCM.
Almost five years of intensive studies followed by board exams, whilst mothering and working, proved great difficulty - but I persevered.
I'm so glad I did, because the perspective I have now is invaluable.

Q: I've been told by many people that you also work as a guide?.
A: The rumors are true! When I turned 19, I challenged my first examination through the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides as a Day Hiking Guide.
I went on to complete certification through the ACMG in rock climbing.
I've been working in the field ever since - coming up on 16 years now.

Q: I guess the rock climbing makes your hands strong for massage!.
A: (laughs) I have been told that countless times.

Q: What do you do in your leisure time?.
A: I love being around my family and friends, and sharing experiences like mountain biking, climbing, ski touring, gardening, playing music, hiking, trail running, etc.
