Detailed description is Run by the Morais family, we are a Certified Organic farm in the heart of the Ca. Delta specializing in Heirloom Tomatoes and fresh picked produce. We specialize in heirloom tomatoes, including 30 varieties of all colors and sizes. Certified Organic in 2012 by CCOF, we are offering healthy, sustainable grown fruits, vegetables and herbs.. . Located on Tyler Island, in the heart of the Delta, Delta Islands Organic is in the center of California’s prime agricultural region. On our northern property line runs Snodgrass Slough, which merges into the Mokelumne River a couple hundred yards downstream. The Sacramento River, where it passes through the middle of Walnut Grove, is only a ½ mile away. . . Delta Islands Organic is conveniently located about half way between Sacramento and Stockton, and about 4 miles west of Interstate 5. While a trip down here will make you feel like you’ve taken a step into a slower, more rural pace, we are still only 25 minutes from downtown Sacramento. Head south on I5 to the Thornton / Walnut Grove Exit - Exit 493. Head west and follow the signs. After crossing the second bridge, we are the first farm on the right.. . Come down and spend the day. Within 5 minutes you will find 5 marinas, various gift shops, an ice cream parlor, and 8 restaurants. One of those is Giusti’s, a great Italian family style restaurant on the river and within walking distance from our farm. With a convenience dock out front, come by boat for a great lunch or dinner and stop in at the farm for fresh produce to take home for the rest of the week.. . As a founding member of the Sacramento River - Delta Grown Agri-tourism Association, Delta Islands Organic can be one stop on a day tour through the Delta, stopping at all our member Farms and Wineries.
