My journey began when I took a shot at an internship at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead. It was an absolute dream to be accepted as a marine mammal training intern. The amount of learning and rewarding experience I received during my hard working year there is indescribable. During my time there I was also working at a kennel/pet resort. There, I met many different breeds, temperaments and personalities in dogs. I took home my first puppy and with the help of my mentors at the aquarium, training her was fun and easy! I fell in love with training animals. After my journey through both the aquarium and kennel work, I became a volunteer for Strong Island Animal Rescue League. What an honor it is to be a part of saving animals' lives and helping them find forever homes! I finally decided it was time to get certified and make a difference in both the lives of dog owners, and the lives of rescue dogs. I currently have 4 family pit bulls who all sleep in the same bed, eat from the same bowls, and share the same toys. I'm very proud of my dogs and I hope to be able to share the feeling by helping people learn to train and bond with their dog and feel that same pride!. . As a dog trainer, it is my job to make an owner's life as well as their dogs lives easier by helping to build the bond and communication between the two. Basic obedience training includes basic commands that help the owner to maintain control over their pal while keeping their relationship loving and strong.
