Though she has treated a wide range of psychiatric illnesses and continues to treat adults she is best known for her work in ADHD, autism, eating disorders, depression, behavioral disorders, and developmental disorders in children and teens. For 10 years, Dr. Tablang-Jimenez was also a consultant at the Department of Juvenile Justice where she treated juvenile offenders suffering from various psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Since 2008 she has been the Medical Director of the Montgomery Country Crisis Center where she oversees the outpatient care, hospital diversion, triage, and evaluation of children, teens, adults, and seniors. . . Dr. Tablang-Jimenez received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland. She graduated from De La Salle University Medical School. She subsequently trained at Georgetown University as a General Psychiatry resident before specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University. . . In 2010, she received the honorary designation of the DFAPA (Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association) from the American Psychiatric Association for excellence in the field of psychiatry. Her private practice has won numerous awards from the Consumer's Report and the Maryland Governor's Office.. . Active in her community she is currently the Councilor from Maryland and Washington, DC for the Southern Medical Association and served on the Board of Directors of the Washington Psychiatric Society. She has been active in the DC Chapter of the Philippine Medical Association since 2003 and served as President in 2010.
