Detailed description is Dr. Galpin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is the only plastic surgeon on Maui with Fellowship training. The goal of his practice is to provide patients with quality care tailored to their desires. Dr. Galpin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is the only plastic surgeon on Maui with Fellowship training. Prior to coming to Maui, he held the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery at the University of Miami. He relocated to Maui to provide a rural environment for his family and to offer his services to the community of Maui.. . After graduating from medical school and five years of General Surgery training, Dr. Galpin completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Miami. He took additional training in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery at City University in Nottingham England, and returned to complete a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the microsurgical training both at the University of Hawaii and the University of Miami. He has published or presented data on a wide variety of reconstructive and aesthetic topics.. .
