Detailed description is Rowan College at Gloucester County , formerly known as Gloucester County College , is an accredited, co-educational, two-year, public community college in Sewell, Gloucester County, New Jersey, established in 1966. Its seventh president, Frederick Keating, took office in 2011.Rowan University and Gloucester County College entered into a premier partnership on January 10, 2014. Under the expanded agreement, GCC will change its name to Rowan College at Gloucester County and offer conditional dual enrollment with Rowan University. While GCC took the Rowan name, the community college will maintain its independence with its own Board of Trustees and administration.RCGC has articulation and credit transfer agreements with many area and online colleges and universities, and a few dual enrollment agreements. Academic areas include Nursing and Allied Health , the Gloucester County Police Academy and related degrees, and continuing education.As of February 2012, RCGC has about 266 acres of grounds, on which are twelve buildings, two of which include the headquarters of other Gloucester County organizations.
