Detailed description is We carry guitars, banjos, mandolins, ukuleles and more, repair instruments, and offer classes, workshops, private lessons, and events.. Since 1982, Dusty Strings Music Shop has been a haven for music lovers, from the curious beginner to the seasoned professional. We offer guitars (electric and acoustic), mandolins, harps, hammered dulcimers, banjos, and an assortment of other fine instruments in a store that encourages you to pick them up and play. A friendly and experienced staff will help you sort out the options between models, woods, features, and all the accessories to go with it. . . Dusty Strings Music shop is home to Martin, Taylor, Collings, Goodall, Weber Mandolins, Ome Banjos, Fano Guitars, Tone King Amps, as well as a full line of harps and hammered dulcimers that we hand build here in Seattle. We have a nationally recognized repair shop (Martin & Taylor Warranty Center), a full service music school, and a live performance stage that has hosted musicians from around the world. We are located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, and we invite you come in and see what we’re all about.. . In 2001, we opened our Dusty Strings Music School, which has flourished since. We offer classes, workshops, private lessons, and events for all levels of players of acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, harp, mountain and hammered dulcimer, voice, and many other folk instruments.. . In addition to both the shop and school, our repair shop is both Martin and Taylor warranty certified. We work on vintage and new instruments, from guitars to harps to banjos and beyond.
