Dr. Oker received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota where she was honored with the Dease Scholarship. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry- the only bilingual program in the Nation. During her fourth year of school, Dr. Oker completed externships at IAUPR School of Optometry, the Eye Care Center of South Florida, Pine Cone Vision Center and Minnesota Eye Consultants. Dr. Oker returned to Minnesota to be with family and find an optometric practice to call home. Dr. Oker specializes in comprehensive eye care, including routine and medical optometry in both Spanish and English. She has a passion for volunteer work and a history of service projects throughout the islands of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Dr. Oker's interests include traveling, cooking, exercising and spending time with her husband and small dog Romeo.
