EMT|Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Courses are given on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Fall 2012 EMT Basic Class starting in October...details coming soon. Emergency Medical Technicians are on the front line of emergency pre-hospital care and make life and death decisions on a daily basis. Our Emergency Medical Technician- Basic course enables students to gain a unique depth of experience in the emergency health service, specifically related to the provision of emergency Prehospital care and transportation of the sick and injured. We have developed an academically and physically challenging EMT|Emergency Medical Technician-Basic course. It is our goal that graduates of the program will be prepared to interact effectively with other emergency medical services system personnel, manage an emergency medical response from start to finish, and satisfy certification requirements from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Service. . . . Our course instructors have experience as both Fire and EMS Instructors and a combined total of over 100 years of Pre-hospital field experience. We pride ourselves on utilizing subject matter experts in various portions of the program such as anatomy and physiology, haz-mat, infection control, special population patients and ambulance operations etc... Our teaching staff work in several of the ambulance services and fire based municipal services in Central Massachusetts. All of EMTSolutions instructors are currently working the "road" with a minimum of 5 years of pre-hospital experience. Our instructors can be found teaching courses throughout Massachusetts. . . The Emergency Medical Profession is not an easy one. With this in mind, our programs are designed to challenge students in not only the academics of EMS but also the clinical and "critical thinking" that is required of an Emergency Medical Technician.. . . .
