We are three ordinary, healthy sisters, ages 15, 14 & 11. Our nana has Leukemia. But that isn’t why we’re doing this. Not really. It may have gotten us to start thinking about cancer, and even to start thinking about donating our hair. But then we learned about Locks of Love, and their mission to help kids who are battling Cancer and Alopecia…it made us start really thinking…. As kids, we all know how difficult it can be to make friends, fit in, find the right clothes, say the right things...imagine how much more difficult it is for kids who are not only struggling with these serious health issues, but are also so noticeably different because they have no hair?. Adults are always saying, "Kids are cruel" and "Teenagers only care about themselves." It's time to prove them wrong.
