In the emergency room of the Dr. Everette Chalmers Hospital, at age 21 I was diagnosed with terminal Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. I say my life changed forever, but not because of this news but because this was the moment I realized, my life and how I live it… doesn’t just impact and affect me. That we are part of a collective, that must surrender to the season we are presented and unite with close family and friends to heal and mend whatever was broken… for me it was spirit. . . I had been living a lie. Grounded in self-medicating and pretending to be happy go lucky all the time, ultimately led to a quick demise and if I decided not to do something about it,…. I would surely transition into something far darker for all involved. . So grabbing this cancer bull by the horns, despite my disapproval, was hooked up to iv chemo almost immediately where I would spend 60 days in a hospital bed. Undoing aggressive chemo and radiation to the brain I fell into a deep depression, as one can only imagine, but farther than miserable… feeling like a living death. I knew something had to give. Either I was to end chemo or carry forward for those I love but I had to find an easier way to cope. . . It was after sleeping for almost 2 years I eventually woke to the power of alternative medicine. In a strange way to some I believe we are all brought to our circumstances for a reason to serve us and help us grow. . CANCER WAS THE BIGGEST BLESSING OF MY LIFE! It was through this experience that I initiated the power, enveloped into it and witnessed the miraculous results of clean eating, holistic medicine: essential oils, reiki, prophetic insight, theta, and reflexology! . . It only took 9 months to totally revert back to balance and restore my body to a healthy function WHILE STILL UNDERGOING CHEMO! I beat many odds and shocked many people: Grew hair, built muscle..went from no muscle mass to snowboarding! The true miracle… the birth of our daughter Miss Rudi Rose. I was told 30 days into my 2 year chemo regime that unfortunately the hospital forgot to freeze my eggs for later administration so I could still reproduce. When you’ve wanted to be a mum your entire life, I cannot even find the right words to explain the feeling I had, but for some reason (that we now know ;)) I just knew this couldn’t be true! I looked her in the eye..sweetly..maybe not so sweetly and quietly whispered. “You don’t know me very well”. . Now the whole message in this isn’t just about MY success…because MY success couldn’t have happened without the shared success of so many others that walked before me. So it is with that presence and the strong desire to give back that I must spread the good news that ANYONE CAN CREATE MIRACLES… they must believe! I am a 27 year old female. No difference, other than I have lived by life learning the hard way. I would like to teach others what I learned, the hard way, so that they don’t have to. And that is what I have been and continue to do. Inspirational speaking is truly my passion but everyone needs a break. So I commenced a holistic healing business, all by donation, where I administer, coach, and support others through their own hardships whatever they may be and I truly cannot think of anything more I would like than to administer one of the most humbling and gracious acts, healing through the massage ones feet. Reflexology has fascinated me ever since 2008 when I was first introduced through my sisters LPN course in St Andrews.
