Montgomery,Others

Pennsylvania,United-states - 19406

Detailed description is Faith in the Future directs the 17 High Schools and 4 schools of special education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Five Key Focus Areas.
.
As an independent educational management organization that oversees the Office of Catholic Education, Faith in the Future has the latitude to grow a world-class school system that is guided by our time-tested Catholic mission but is apart from the traditional constraints of the old way of doing business.
Our growth strategy falls into five key focus areas: (1) Driving enrollment management across the system (2) Professionalizing fundraising at the school level (3) Building added capacity into our people to lead, teach, and operate 21st century schools (4) Enhancing our educational and artistic programs and (5) Deploying technology to measure, monitor, and drive these improvements.
.
.
1. Driving Enrollment Management Across the System: Across all 17 high schools today we are educating 14,000 students in buildings that have a capacity for 28,000.
Our immediate goal is to create a unique value proposition for each high school to distinguish it among other schools and to drive enrollment across the system.
We have launched an aggressive marketing campaign called “Choose My Future” which features an easy-to-navigate website that includes important facts on each school and a streamlined open-house registration.
We supplement this centrally planned campaign by investing in locally targeted “guerilla” marketing at the individual school level.
We have also created a new enrollment management division within the OCE and hired a Deputy Superintendent for Enrollment Management Services to oversee the high school admissions directors.
Admissions directors are now receiving ongoing training and professional development to increase customer service, perform market segmentation analysis, and apply strategic financial aid to drive total tuition revenue.
.
.
2. Professionalizing Fundraising at the School Level: Our goal is to build each school’s capacity to generate a self-funding pool of tuition assistance and to finance new capital projects.
We will create a university-style development office training program that professionalizes the development activities of all the high schools to support annual giving, planned giving, public funding, and major gifts across the entire enterprise.
In 2012 our schools were raising $12 million per year.
At the end of the 2013-14 fiscal year our schools raised nearly $20 million.
These funds will be reinvested to fund new growth and new educational programs..
.
3. Building Added Capacity into our People: The single greatest priority is to develop, recruit, and retain the highest quality school leaders and instructional staff available at a lower cost than we do today.
Our central office must build leadership training, new staffing models, and professional development programs that engender the mindset of growth and innovation among our current and future employees.
This people development strategy includes a new method of talent recruitment and a new system of performance measurement and management.
We have enlisted the expertise of the Pacific Institute, a global consultancy with deep experience in the education sector, to help us manage this change so that our employees are inspired to improve their performance and reach their full potential.
.
.
4. Enhancing our Educational and Artistic Programs: In order to compete in new segments and meet the unique needs of our students, we are using new investment funds to revise our programmatic offerings to match individual school strengths with local market opportunities.
For example, at Roman Catholic High School, every student receives an iPad for instructional purposes and the schools proximity to the Franklin Institute and the Philadelphia Art Museum have created opportunities for the students to frequent these great resources.
The suburban schools, for example, can successfully compete against the privates and lead on technology-enabled blended learning.
.
.
5. Deploying Technology to Measure, Monitor, and Drive these Improvements: Our third greatest challenge outside of developing our people and increasing enrollment is a lack of information.
If you don’t have it, how can you measure, monitor, and improve? How can you celebrate your achievements? For this reason, we are making strategic investments in new technology infrastructure that will enable us to drive on process improvements forward.
Our first major investment was in a constituent management and prospect research system that allows us to coordinate solicitations across the entire school system and capitalize on the true giving capacity of our donors.
We are also in the process of hiring a Chief Information Officer on our senior management team who can lead multiple tech implementations and is familiar with the great variety of data required to improve our business processes and make data-driven decisions..
