Currently SMC hosts a luncheon the third or fourth Sunday of every month at the Community Lounge on 528 Powell St., Vancouver’s downtown east side, which is considered Canada’s poorest community. Each month, around 10 SMC volunteers prepare enough food to serve around 150 meals. However, it can only succeed with financial and material support of people like you. All donations go to purchasing the food and supplies for each of our events. We can prepare a nutritious and filling meal for someone in need for less than the cost of a small cup of coffee. . . .
