Detailed description is Welcome to the quiet side of Gatlinburg! Relax and rejuvenate in this quiet cabin by the river, only 20 minutes from Gatlinburg and 30 from Pigeon Forge, and right across from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. At present there is only one room available for rent at Fern Gully Lodge, and that is the White Tail. There is also a double bed in the laundry room available for kids if you are traveling with them, but in general this beautiful cabin is all yours and comes equipped with your very own live-in breakfast cook and maid, not to mention two dogs to love on while you are away from your own furry pals. This is a nonsmoking home as are the grounds, so you can enjoy that fresh mountain air to its fullest. Use the gourmet kitchen with double convection ovens as much or as little as you like. I will clear space for your groceries in both the refrigerator and dry cabinets during your stay. Free self-serve coffee every day with the Keurig coffee maker and shade grown fair trade coffee.. . A set of stairs leads directly down to the stream for you to dip your toes in and let the kids splash around in. There is also an outdoor patio grill for the weenie or steak grill. Additionally a gas grill sits on the back deck. There is a screened-in back porch running the length of the house along with rocking chairs to rock away the hours while staring down at the running water, reading a book, or enjoying each others' company. Puzzles, books, board games and coloring books are available for those dreaded rainy days.. . We also have WiFi Hi-Speed Internet, wood burning fireplace with leather couch facing it. Two sides of the couch recline to almost bed angles. Hanging over the fireplace is a huge flat-screen TV complete with HDMI hookup to Netflix and the web.. .
