Four Points Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is the practice of Michelle LaPointe, L.Ac., MSOM. Michelle is a licensed practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She grew up in Hampden, Maine where she began to develop an increasing interest in health and medicine. Taking this interest to college, Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts in a self-designed major focusing on Environmental Education and Western Herbalism. She continued to expand her scope of practice by receiving a 1000-hour certificate in Massage Therapy from Boulder College of Massage Therapy. Her focuses included Neuromuscular Therapy and Shiatsu. This interest in Shiatsu led Michelle to pursue her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. . Michelle received her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado. The comprehensive 4-year degree covered both Eastern and Western medical studies and extensive internships and clinical hours. Michelle achieved this degree in the accelerated 3-year program, during which she practiced in a wide variety of locations around Boulder, Colorado. These locations included Golden West Senior Center and Boulder AIDS Clinic. She has studied and treated numerous specialization's including Sports Medicine and Pain Management, Oncology and Women's Health and Fertility..
