Detailed description is The Friends of Griffin's Tavern are dedicated to the mission of the preserving Griffin's Tavern in East Fishkill, NY and educate about Col. Jacob Griffin. Revolutionary War landmark and Rendezvous for patriots during the #RevWar including LaFayette, Putnam, Von Steuben and others. Home of Colonel Jacob and Ruth (Woosley) Griffin. He was a leader in the Dutchess Rombout Militia. His home, Griffin's Tavern hosted the Committee of Safety in the summer of 1775. Now owned by Royal Carting, the tavern is in ruin, but we aim to stabilize it to save for future generations. Join us! . .
