Detailed description is Friends of Science is a non-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers comprised mainly of active and retired earth and atmospheric scientists, engineers, and other professionals. We believe that the vilification of CO2 as being the predominant cause of climate change or global warming is short sighted and wrong when we consider the myriad of variables which may affect the earth's climate. Some of these variables are known and there are likely others which currently remain unknown. We do know that over geological time there have been many climate cycles independent of human influence. The focus on CO2 detracts from dealing with more pressing and well known environmental and human welfare problems.
