Detailed description is February 23 - March 8 Georgia-Cumberland Academy partnered with ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) in Thailand to help bring fresh water to the Pang Kuai village in the northern region of Chiang Rai.

12 students and 3 staff from GCA left Atlanta on Wednesday, February 23 and arrived in Bangkok, Thailand after nearly 24 hours of travel.
Then an overnight train ride will took us to the northern city of Chiang Mai where we met with the local ADRA office and prepared for the work that needed to be done (mainly a lot of digging!).
We worked hard to help bring fresh, clean water to Pang Kwai, a village in northern Thailand..

After the work week, we checked out some of the sights in Chiang Mai.
The night market, a ropes course, elephant show & ride, Kantoke dinner, and the Doi Suthep temple are some of the things experienced while in Chiang Mai..

On May, 2012, GCA will be taking another group to work with ADRA--this time in China.
We will be working with ADRA and building/installing biogas tanks in the homes of villagers outside the city of Chengdu.
While there, we will also be exploring some of the sights China has to offer.
