Detailed description is Full service Salon and Spa. At the tender age of 16, Missy had a dream, to one day open a salon with her mom. Sue chose the name Generations of Style, following Missy's grandma Opal who was a manicurist and a Aunt who was a hairstylist. . After Missy received her cosmetology license in 1990, they both worked together at a local salon. Sue, a hairstylist and previous salon owner, received her cosmetology license in Chicago, IL. in 1965. . On September 15, 1991 they decided to open their dream in a 3 story home in the Lincoln historical area in Springfield, IL. After 11 successful years with a great team, Missy was expecting her first child & the mother & daughter team chose to downsize to the two of them as they both wanted time to participate heavily in Missy's children's lives. . Now after 13 years the mother and daughter team set out for the next Generations of style journey and expanded to a full service salon and spa once again. . The first week of August they celebrated their birthdays together with moving their salon into a new location, 2760 West Jefferson. They've added multiple services, such as, massage therapist & nail technician. Much more to come for Generations of Style & the mother and daughter team who are now celebrating their 24th year owning & operating their successful salon. They want to thank all their clients, family and friends for all the love, support & inspiration.. Sue and Missy love what they do and feel as if they've never worked a day in their lives. .
