Founded in 1947, Camp Tanglefoot was built on a strong tradition of outdoor excellence! Girl Scout Camp Tanglefoot is located on Clear Lake, in north central Iowa. At just 50 acres in size, Camp Tanglefoot consists of five living areas (3 summer cabin units and 2 platform tent units), a large meadow that's great for all-camp activities, wooded areas, a reconstructed prairie and wetland area, in addition to the lake access. There are three beautiful lodges, the seasonal dining Lodge built in 1950, and two year-round retreat buildings fondly called "The Oaks" and "Meadowview". . .
