Detailed description is Glacier View is a census-designated place (CDP) in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, United States. It is part of the Anchorage, Alaska Metropolitan Statistical Area. At the 2010 census the population was 234. The terminus of Matanuska Glacier is located approximately three miles southwest of Glacier View.GeographyGlacier View is located at .According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 450.6sqmi, of which, 448.2sqmi of it is land and 2.4sqmi of it is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 249 people, 104 households, and 61 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 0.6 people per square mile (0.2/km²). There were 260 housing units at an average density of 0.6/sq mi (0.2/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 88.76% White, 0.40% Black or African American, 7.23% Native American, 0.40% Asian, and 3.21% from two or more races.
