Scurry native, Michael Hodge, began learning martial arts at a young age. He began teaching classes at his father's dojo while in high school, and went on to start his own school. After teaching at his academy for five years, and creating a renowned online training program, he began writing children's books. . . Now, with three young children, Michael realizes the importance of a structured, challenging, and engaging martial arts class. He has launched the Kids Academy, as a way to create future leaders in the community, through ingraining life-lessons in every single class.
