New Birth is not brought about by culture, not by character, not by status, but wholly by the power of the Holy Spirit in connection with Divine Truth, in accordance with man’s faith and voluntary obedience to the Gospel of Christ. (John 1:29; 3:3-16; Acts 2:38; Galatians 3:13; Ephesians 2:8). . Baptism in Water. Water Baptism (by immersion) in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins identifies the believer with Jesus Christ, His death, burial and resurrection. The result is the death of the believer to sin, and personal resurrection to newness of life. Water baptism in Jesus’ Name is fundamental and essential to salvation through Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:16; John 3:5; Acts 2:38; 10:44; 19:6). . The Promise of Father. All believers are to receive the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ.
