Gray, AIA is the Principal of GRAYSCALE ARCHITECTURE and established the firm following his retirement as President and CEO of Savage Ver Ploeg & Associates, Inc. of West Des Moines, IA [dba SVPA Architects Inc.]. Mr. Gray was a member of the SVPA Team for 37 ½ years and participated in a variety of commercial and residential projects in Iowa and several other states including Colorado, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Illinois. He currently holds professional architectural registrations in Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois.. . Gray holds an NCARB certification and is a member of both the national American Institute of Architects and the Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He graduated with a BA in architecture from Iowa State University and also has a Master of Architecture from Iowa State. Gray has extensive experience in interior design and is a certified interior designer. Prior to joining SVPA Architects Gray was a limited partner with Ray Crites, FAIA (Ames Design Collaborative) focusing on projects of custom residential design.. .
