Detailed description is . Welkom op de Facebook pagina van het Groot Jongerendebat Rotterdam 2011!. . Het Groot Jongerendebat Rotterdam (GJR) gaat weer van start in het najaar! Het GJR is meer dan zomaar een debatwedstrijd: het is een initiatief om leerlingen van het middelbaar onderwijs en het mbo dichterbij de politiek, maatschappelijke vraagstukken en debat te brengen. De organisatie is in handen van de verschillende Politieke Jongeren Organisaties (PJO’s), de Rotterdamse Jongeren Raad (RJR) en stichting LOKAAL.. . Dit jaar bestaat het GJR uit drie onderdelen. Het eerste onderdeel speelt zich af op de deelnemende scholen en bestaat uit ‘het politieke spel’. Door middel van dit spel worden de leerlingen op interactieve wijze geïntroduceerd in ons politieke systeem. Aan de hand van verschillende maatschappelijke vraagstukken vormen zij coalities, wegen zij hun prioriteiten af en proberen zij de ander te overtuigen via debat. Na afloop van het spel, kiest iedere school vijf debaters die worden afgevaardigd naar het GJR. . . Deze vijf leerlingen worden tijdens het tweede onderdeel ‘Training van de teams’ voorbereid op het slotdebat. Tijdens de trainingsavond komen debattechnieken aan bod en de mogelijke stellingen waarover in de finale gedebatteerd gaat worden. Zo gaan de jongeren extra goed voorbereid de finale in!. . Het derde onderdeel bestaat uit de finale van het Groot Jongerendebat. Op het gemeentehuis in Rotterdam binden de verschillende teams van de deelnemende scholen de strijd aan met de afgevaardigden van andere scholen. Hierbij worden zij natuurlijk volop gesteund door hun achterban van onderwijzers, klas- en schoolgenoten!.
