WEEK 1 - JULY 16-20, 12:00-3:00 PM - 4 HAND AND TRADITIONAL SET WORKSHOP. This is for Grade Level Dancers who wish to dance at the Oireachtas in the individual category of traditional set (hardshoe) and/or the team category of the 4 hand dance. The Oireachtas is our regional championships that is held in Philadelphia, PA from November 23-25. We will split our time between learning and perfecting one hardshoe dance (St. Patrick's Day) and this year's designated 4 Hand dance.. **This week is limited to the first 20 dancers who enroll.**. . WEEK 2 - JULY 23-27, 9:00-1:00 - PRELIMINARY CHAMPIONS. This is open to dancers who are currently competing at the Preliminary Championships level OR to dancers who have achieved three or more 1st place wins in a Prizewinner Competition of 5 dancers or more.. . WEEK 3 - JULY 30-AUGUST 3, 12:00-3:00 PM - NOVICE AND PRIZEWINNER DANCERS. This week of boot camp is open to dancers who currently compete in the Novice and Prizewinner levels. This is a great way to prepare for the Stony Brook Feis on August 5. The dancers will focus on technique, stretching, and overall fitness.. . WEEK 3 - JULY 30-AUGUST 3, 4:00-5:30 PM - INTRO TO IRISH DANCE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS - MINI CAMP. This introductory week is a great way for boys and girls to get an idea of what Irish dance is all about. The cost of this introductory week will be $125 and it includes a free T-Shirt!. . WEEK 4 - AUGUST 6-10, 9:00-12:00 - BEGINNER II / ADVANCED BEGINNER GRADS. We are excited to offer our younger dancers their very own week at boot camp this year! This is for our dancers who have completed a full year of classes at the Beginner II and Advanced Beginner levels. We will continue to develop the dancers' skills in soft shoe and we will be spending an hour each day on hardshoe dancing as well! Dancers who completed the 2011-2012 year in the following classes are eligible for this week of camp: Monday 4-5pm, Tuesday 4-5pm, Wednesday 4-5pm, Thursday 4-5pm, or Saturday 11-12pm.. . WEEK 4 - AUGUST 13-17, 9:00-1:00 - OPEN CHAMPIONS. This is open to dancers who are currently competing at the Open Championships level, and also to dancers who have achieved 1 first place win in Preliminary Championships.. . WEEK 5 - AUGUST 6-10, 12:30-4:30 - PRELIMINARY CHAMPIONS. WEEK 7 - AUGUST 27-31, 10:00-1:00 - END OF SUMMER SHAPE-UP FOR OIREACHTAS CHAMPIONSHIP SOLOISTS. This week is open to dancers who are dancing at the 2012 Oireachtas as Championship soloists (not traditional set). This will be a great way to get back on track after the summer and start building stamina again before school starts!. .
