I am an artist and a writer but I have trouble expressing in words what I feel about living in the gorgeous Brown County, Indiana forest, some 44 years now! This is why I use the camera. My hope is that those looking at my photos will "see" what I "feel". I have established the 109 acres here as the Goat Hill Private Forest Preserve to save it from development in the future. I love being a hermit here! And, yes, you can visit but by appointment only (call 812 988-7830) and also when Goat Hill Studio (where I make jewelry and handmade papers inspired by nature) and HandmadeinBrownCounty.com Gallery (where I have exhibitions and sell my artwork) is open for special events including everyday in October during The Back Roads of Brown County Artists' Studio Tour.
