Detailed description is HealthyCats Peer Educators are student leaders that promote health education and wellness around the Texas State University campus and surrounding community. HealthyCats Peer Educators is a student organization at Texas State University that works through the Student Health Center. Our peer educators work to educate fellow students through presentations and outreach events in order to promote wellness and influence health attitudes and behaviors. Peer educators are trained on a variety of topics including stress, mental health, drugs and alcohol, and sexual health. Being a part of HealthyCats can be a great opportunity for leadership experience, improving public speaking skills, earning volunteer hours, and giving back to the community. . .
