We hand pick our leather hides from a local tannery ~ for a rustic look and feel.. . This ain’t no SISSY-FIED leather. Our cowhides are marked by REAL LIFE. Our leather may contain bug bites, scars, BRANDING marks, barbed wire, wrinkles, etc… We don’t discriminate! This leather hasn’t been manipulated in anyway, shape or form. It all tells a story…. . A LESSON IN LEATHER. . FULL GRAIN LEATHER – is the best leather money can buy and the only leather that we use. Full Grain refers to the top layer of the hide which contains all the grain hence the name “Full Grain”. The surface of full grain leather becomes a piece of art with age and use.. . — NOW THE OTHER TYPES OF LEATHER (BUYER BEWARE) —. . TOP GRAIN LEATHER – is 2nd class leather (kind of like flying coach compared to first class). It is split from the top layer and then sanded and refinished. This leather doesn’t age well at all.. .
